Psychedelic Obscurities

This is a collection (made about 3 years ago) of some of my favourite psychedelic songs from the years 1966 to 1971. Bands that should have been heard by much wider audiences. There may be the odd familiar name, such as Alice Cooper (yes, his first release was a psychedelic masterpiece!), or The Pretty Things (under the guise of The Electric Banana). But I hope you enjoy these songs which have given me much enjoyment over the years. All songs have the album of origin in the tags.

I must tell you my brother... I've been doing the same thing that you are doing, with my records, for my personal enjoyment.
In the mid 80s I had made a series of about 6 CD's I named Flowers, with everything Psychedelic.
Well known, and never heard of artists and songs.
When a bunch of young guys in their 20s heard them, they went nuts over my CD's, and requested that I made copies for them.
Which I did.
It is such a Joy to share, thanks man !!

The link(s) you want are where I've actually updated this mix a few months later than this. You can find them here: http://hairybreath.blogspot.co.uk/2012/03/psychedelic-obscurities.html

Once you've acknowledged you've seen this I guess I better remove this one to avoid any further confusion! Cheers.

Wicked. I just took some folk comps and a few of your
Psychedelic ones. OH, and your Japanese comp.

have you heard any or all of the 13 volumes of the "Fading Yellow" comps? I like much of what was on those. esp. volume 1! Rockasteria is still hosting them.

peace!

Yes Mike, they're a fine series of compilations, Fading Yellow. I've only got a handful myself, need to hear some more.

I recommend downloading them while Rockasteria has them. they really are exceptional.
