Songs from Beneath the Spaghetti Tree Vol. 13

This volume wasn't scheduled to appear for another couple of days, but I've been left wondering if I should carry on and post all 50 volumes. Perhaps it's a bit too much of an indulgence for everyone? Maybe I should leave them as mixcloud mixes only, I'm not sure. Lack of any feedback plus the decline in page views since posting volume 2 has prompted these thoughts. Re-compiling all these volumes has been quite enjoyable for me, but maybe not so enjoyable for everyone else...

Since you asked . . . I can't get into the S. Tree series. But your other comps [excepy the Best Of . . .]are fantastic and I hate to see them go, even for a little while.

I love this series, as it introduces a lot of lesser known names, along with well established artists. It all makes sense, despite the jumps in time and musical styles, especially when taken as a whole. I really hope the series will continue til it's run its course, especially as separate tracks. Thank you for all the wonderful music you are constantly pointing us to. .

I'm loving the series - my usual playlist jumps around like this as well. Post punk, African, electronic oddness, folk sincerity.... yes - love it. They have a similar feel to the Audio Cd series from the mid 90s - bouncing around from gem to gem.
Keep it up.

Thanks for the feedback everyone. I was feeling a bit down when I posted my reservations (plus had the flu!) but feeling much better now. No worries, all 50 volumes of Spaghetti Tree will appear here, next one tomorrow morning.

I get what you're saying, walnut, but these compilations are a mixture of all the different genres I have made previous comps of before. I feel that some who dislike folk or post-punk etc will avoid those genre specific compilations, but with the Spaghetti Tree series there's a bit of everything for everyone. Maybe they'll persuade some people to delve a bit deeper into a style of music they've never really listened to before. For me when I was a young lad I had the pleasure of tuning into the sadly missed John Peel show on BBC Radio One, where he would embrace all kinds of music, which certainly broadened my previously limited musical tastes... So these are my homage to him and his passion for discovering and sharing so much music that never reached a wider audience.
