The West Coast Pop Art Experimental Band - On the Edge of Your Mind

 

There's never been a proper WCPAEB compilation over the years, apart from Transparent Day which was released in the 1980s and only comprised of songs from their first 2 Reprise albums. So, I've gathered together my favourite tracks from all 6 albums they released between 1966-1970, including the Markley - A Group album which is considered the final WCPAEB album. Bob Markley decided at the last moment to rename the band to just his surname for this release. Considering he played as much a part of this album as their previous albums, for the sake of this compilation I've reverted the name of the band to what it should be.

New Millennium Psychedelia, Vol. 5

 

Hot on the heels of Volume 4 is the next collection of some of the best psychedelic bands this century.  As mentioned on previous volumes,  this series of compilations is named in honour of Dale Simpson's facebook group, also named New Millennium Psychedelia. Dale, like the previous 4 volumes, provided the artwork and suggested a couple of bands for this latest edition.

New Millennium Psychedelia, Vol. 4

It's been almost 3 years since the last volume of this series, at long last now we have Volume 4.  As mentioned on previous volumes,  this series of compilations is named in honour of Dale Simpson's facebook group, also named New Millennium Psychedelia. Dale also, like the previous 3 volumes, provided the artwork and suggested a couple of bands for this latest edition. There are now over 3400 members (including many of the artists featured on these comps) in this group, so if you haven't joined in the fun, do it now! 

Every day, members post wonderful clips of modern psychedelic music, plus links to gigs/events and artists advertising their own releases, many of which are free to download .
